known to most as Danny — Chicago attorney and civic leader
Daniel J. Goldberg — known to most as Danny — is a Chicago attorney with extensive experience in criminal law, public safety, and civic leadership. As a prosecutor in Chicago, he has handled complex investigations and high-stakes charging decisions, earning a reputation for sound judgment and integrity. His work has been recognized nationally, including coverage in The New York Times.
Danny is a proud “double Devil,” earning his undergraduate degree at Barrett, the Honors College, and his J.D. at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. During his time at ASU, he held leadership roles in student organizations that strengthened his skills in collaboration, advocacy, and service. While he valued his years in Arizona, Danny always knew Chicago was home, and he returned to continue his career in public service.
Beyond his legal work, Danny is deeply connected to the city he serves. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods, and supporting the local restaurants and small businesses that make the city unique. Above all, he remains committed to strengthening public safety and civic life across Chicago.
